- Graduated from Ecole Centrale Paris and Master of Science from Harvard University in 1967.
- Research in Material Science.
- Then long industrial career with Vallourec (metallic tubing): 22 years member of the Executive Committee, Responsible for the Industrial policy of the Group and CEO of stainless steel and titanium companies of the Group.
- Manufactured 80000 tonnes of tubing from gas atomized powder.
- Elected Fellow of ASM (American Society for Materials) in 1999, European Award from ASM for achievement in powder metallurgy in 1989.
- Elected Lifetime member of the Royal Academy of Engineering Science (Sweden) in 2005
- Awarded The Félix award for Innovation in 2016.
- Has been Director of several Private and Public Companies
- Presently Director in the Board of Calvi Holding
